The following are all the initial tasks to setup your SME after completion of the installation.
- Users: Setup>Users. Key actions:
- Configure all the users that will be logging into SME. Either Search and find the users or create new users.
- Setup SME users login and password
- Select "is Technician" if they will also be scheduled for work orders.
- Select "Is Salesperson" if they perform sales duties or get commission credit for orders.
- Setup Email Settings
- Configure Technicians
- Select "is Technician" if they will also be scheduled for work orders.
- Setup default service type when scheduled for work order in Technician Settings>Service Item
- Setup default Wage Cost for the fully loaded cost of the technician per hour
- Configure other Technician Settings
- Configure Sales people
- Select "Is Salesperson" if they perform sales duties or get commission credit for orders.
- Provide login and password if you want them to be able to login to SME
- Configure all the users that will be logging into SME. Either Search and find the users or create new users.

Your company implementation manager should try to complete as many of these steps prior to training to have the most efficient training session. If these are not completed, your training will go through these setups.
